This site is dedicated to the memory of Tara McKeating.

In February 2006, on Valentine’s Day, my sister was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. Sadly, after a long and very brave battle she passed away on 18th January 2009. This Tribute Fund has been set up by her family to honour her memory, and all those affected. Tara made friends easily and was always the life and soul of the party. Once you met Tara you would never forget her. She did things her way, and was very strong-willed, but also thoughtful and caring of others. Tara was such an achiever in life, always striving to do the best she could, giving 100%. Before she became ill, she went to night school and studied hard to attain her Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma. She showed true determination and was focused on climbing her career ladder. Tara had a remarkable spirit and such a strong determination, and it was this tenacity and fighting spirit that helped her through her battle with her illness, always smiling and putting a brave face on things. She was known around the hospital as ‘the pink lady’ for her love of the colour pink. Doctors and nurses alike warmed to her sparky personality and zest for life, to the extent that they would often squabble over who would be her carer for the day, as she was such a pleasure to treat. Tara was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her smile was infectious and anyone who knew her will always remember her laughter, and her captivating blue eyes. Words can’t express how much we miss and love her, but we know she is looking down on us all. I am truly honoured to have called her my sister, and thankful for the all the wonderful memories I have, which I will treasure forever. This is for you sis xxx
